Systema is one of the Russian military martial arts, its focus is on hand to hand combat, grappling, knife fighting and fire arms training as well. Literally translating into "The System" it could be traced back to various ancient styles, but has only caught the eye of the world after the cold war. Systema became the style of fighting employed by some Special Military Operations Units for high risk missions in Spetsnaz and other government facilities. 
Krav Maga is the Israeli military martial art, founded by Imrich Lichtenfeld the key principle of Krav Maga is finishing a fight as quickly as possible and therefore all attacks are aimed towards the most vulnerable parts of the body (e.g., face, neck, groin, knee, etc.). Because there are no sporting rules, individuals trained in Krav Maga are not limited to techniques that avoid severely injuring their opponents. Translating into "hand-to-hand combat" Krav Maga has risen to fame for its numerous appearence in action movies. See any military/spy movies it'll most likely be Krav Maga.
